Mark Fusco is a Physician Assistant with Mid-Atlantic Long Term Care who partners closely with the physicians and other advanced practicing providers in the company. Originally from southeastern Pennsylvania, Mark graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia in 1990 with a degree in Physiology and Biology. He was a pharmaceutical sales representative for UpJohn and Merck and learned of the physician’s assistant career performing his job. In 1992, he was accepted into the University of Florida Physician Assistant Program through the school of Medicine. He graduated in 1994 and pursued a career as an emergency medicine physician assistant, which led to him moving to Virginia in 1995. While working as an emergency room physician assistant, he was able to complete his Masters Degree through the University of Nebraska in 2000, specializing in emergency medicine. For the better part of 30 years, Mark has primarily worked in the acute care field. In 2022 following COVID, Mark finally decided to “retire” from emergency medicine. He currently works full-time as a Hospitalist Advanced Practice Provider for Sentara.
Mark lives in Yorktown with his wife, Suzan and two children, Casey and Conner; both currently in college.
