Tammy Speerhas is a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) with over 25 years of medical experience. She received her undergraduate degree in Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. While working as a supervisor in an emergency department in Beaver, PA, she completed her Master of Science in Nursing from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA in 2012. While working as an FNP-C in multiple settings including emergency medicine, occupational health, retail medicine, and the quality arena, she completed her Doctrine of Nursing Practice from the University of Alabama.
After moving back to her hometown in Virginia Beach in 2015 she began working for The Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters in their Urgent Care Centers where she is now the Director of Education and Quality. She is passionate about providing care to pediatric and geriatric patients covering the full life span spectrum. Providing compassionate, comprehensive, evidenced-based care is a priority, as well as, ensuring the surrounding family and medical team are given thoughtful consideration in decisions with the patient’s care.
Tammy resides in Virginia Beach with her two children, Frankie, and Jackson. In her spare time, she enjoys golfing, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends.
