Lee Summer Phillips, PMHNP, BC is a psychiatric nurse practitioner who is nationally certified. She has been in practice for over 30 years. She works with all age groups including children, adolescents, adults and the elderly. She has worked extensively in pediatrics with children and adolescents at CHKD as well as inpatient and residential adolescents. She has served as adjunct faculty at Sentara School of Health Professions and Norfolk State University. She has also provided mental health care at the The Barry Robinson Center and Naval Regional Medical Center in Portsmouth. She is licensed to practice in both Virginia and North Carolina.
As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), Lee is skilled in psychiatric assessment and diagnosis and can prescribe medications and provide expert psychotropic medication management. Lee’s areas of specialty include Attention Deficit Disorders, Bipolar-Spectrum disorders, Treatment-Resistant Depression, and Anxiety Disorders. She has a special interest in treating the mental health needs of the elderly population.
