Last week we celebrated Falls Prevention Awareness Week. We think it’s important to highlight some great tips from the National Council on Aging (NCOA). As adults age, falls can be prevented in several ways. Some ways that the NCOA describes in more detail are increased activity, regular visits with your primary care provider, hydrating, keeping your home safe and clutter free, annual visits to get your hearing and vision checked, and much more. MALTC providers are able to help you with your concerns. They will work with you on ways to prevent falls occurring to you or your loved one(s).
